KGLP strives to enhance intellectual development, expand knowledge, and deepen aesthetic enjoyment through a balanced presentation of alternative view points. KGLP attempts to help listeners become more responsive, informed human beings who exercise personal responsibility.

Gallup Public Radio's next board meeting is scheduled for 5:30pm on Monday, October 10, 2022, via ZOOM - all wishing to attend may email firstname.lastname@example.org by 4pm that day. KGLP airs "Code Switch" (converations about race) at 12pm each Sunday, currently followed by NV1's "Spiritual Age", then KUNM's "Let's Talk New Mexico" at 1pm each Sunday, and the MusiCaldo hour, featuring Latinx/Hispano/a music and culture, at 7pm each Sunday. On Fridays, "The TED Radio Hour" moves to 1pm, followed at 2pm by "Science Friday". "On Being" ended air, nationwide, on July 1, 2022 - to listen to online episodes, you may search on any browser for "On Being Podcast".
