Wayne Ramm is a music aficionado and singer-songwriter who started out in Chicago, home of Urban Blues, moved to Bakersfield where he was exposed to country, rock n' roll, classical and jazz music. He moved to the musical melting pot of Phoenix and the great Southwest, finally landing in northwest New Mexico.
Growing up, Wayne listened to late-night freeform radio where his appreciation for all musical genres was developed. His musical journey has continued to evolve and expand throughout his adult life. He’s been involved in many aspects of music, beginning at age 7, becoming a multi-instrumentalist including trumpet, baritone, oboe, keyboard, drums and guitar. Wayne has performed in various musical settings, from solo to groups and in multiple genres. He’s also a recording producer, engineer and artist with vinyl and CD formats to his credit. He teaches guitar and keyboards, tunes pianos, repairs guitars and amplifiers.
“You could say that I enjoy everything about music. So, it seems only fitting and natural that I’d also end up hosting my own radio show featuring great music. I am proud to be a member of the KGLP broadcast family with my show, iTS JAZZzz, featuring a variety of musical styles and eras. I hope you enjoy the weekly adventures I take you on, Thursday evenings, beginning at 10pm.”
