Gaënö’ is a one-hour, weekly musical showcase that focuses on the various genres of contemporary music created by talented artists from the numerous Indigenous Nations of Turtle Island. Gaënö’ airs at 9pm Tuesdays, and also on most Fridays at 1pm, alternating with the Toasted Sister Podcast, the latter usually airing once per month.
The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is again airing at 10am Fridays, through July, 2021, after which KGLP will resume air of Performance Today at that time.
On May 10, UNMG professor Matthew Mingus was appointed to Gallup Public Radio's Board of Directors, to complete the term of Lillian Schwales, who has resigned for a move to D.C. As of June 10, KGLP has received about $16,800 in donations since April 6, including money from car donations. On December 14, 2020, and February 8, 2021, the Board was in Executive Session for discussion of HR matters. KGLP's Community Advisory Board met on May 13, 2021 - minutes are posted on the Boards page. The next meeting of the Board is planned remotely via ZOOM for Monday, June 14, 2021, at 5:30pm.
