Maxedon is a second-generation broadcaster with a diverse background in radio, telecommunications, marketing and higher education.

He has served in numerous capacities at both small and large companies around the world, and recently moved to Gallup from the Phoenix area where he was Weekend Edition host at KJZZ/NPR, a Murrow Award-nominated broadcast journalist, and a PMJA-nominated podcaster of Word, a show about literature which ran for 11 seasons.

While he started in commercial media in the early 1990's,

Maxedon began his public radio career on Guam at KPRG in 2016.
